UPDATE: 03/01/2010 — OK, so I finally got up to Duluth to see the show, I missed the opening reception thanks to Minnesota weather… So here are some pics for anyone who was interested but did not make the trip!

As a way of highlighting the vibrant ceramics tradition in Minnesota, the Duluth Art Institute will mount an exhibition of ceramics made by Minnesota artists. This exhibition will be a great opportunity to experience the rich tradition of ceramics in our state. Artists in this exhibition include: Duluth artists Harley Blake, Jan Karon and Sheila Staubus; Minneapolis artists Lauren Herzak-Baumann and Rita Panton; as well as artists Tom Abel of Woodbury, Daniel Gardner of Eagan, and Thomas Myers of Mankato.
